Looking for my next opportunity to make a change.

About Me

Hi there! I'm Ochuko Akpovbovbo

I'm an Economics major & Entrepreneurship minor at Lewis & Clark College, with a passion for branding and marketing, specifically in consumer technology.

I believe that the stories that we hear, and the people that we hear them from have the power to shape our perceptions about ourselves, others, and society.

My background in economics and finance, combined with my skills in marketing and entrepreneurship, gives me a unique understanding of people and systems that allows me to creatively shape and tell stories that inspire and mobilize others.

I'd love to hear about your next big idea, and tell you about mine. Give me a shout!

International Baccalaureate

I am always grateful for my time at a United World College, which allowed me to become a global citizen. Attending a college with 200 students from 100 different countries gave me an appreciation for diversity in culture and perspectives, even in cases where they were in conflict with my own.

From sharing a room with six girls from four different continents over my two years there to classroom discussions with a variety of opinions and perspectives- every moment was spent learning and growing.

I learned how to facilitate difficult conversations, how to listen for underlying tensions, and how to appreciate the unfamiliar and unknown. Most importantly, I learnt that while our cultures and societies have such an impact on our identities, there is so much that we all have in common, and those are the most important things.

I also got the amazing opportunity to share my culture!
